I'm a lifelong musician with a strong passion for the saxophone. I began my life in music with the clarinet, later picking up alto and tenor saxophone as well as piano. I graduated from School of the Arts High School in 2009 and brought my tenor to UCLA, where I played in every band that I could. I've been trained in classical music, jazz, Latin jazz, funk, soul, and rock. I love performing, recording, composing, and now I'm excited to teach. Read More

Especially for young people, maintaining interest and ensuring that they continue to see the value of their musical education is essential. I remember a very frank conversation with my mother when at 13 I wanted to give up music to play football, and I blame that on the style of teaching I was receiving. I feel it is important for us to have fun while learning. I work closely with my students to learn their musical interests and then establish their musical goals. With those goals in mind, we create a daily practice routine that is both fun, efficient, and designed specifically for that student, with their strengths and weaknesses taken into account.
