I'm a lifelong musician with a strong passion for the saxophone. I began my life in music with the clarinet, later picking up alto and tenor saxophone as well as piano. I graduated from School of the Arts High School in 2009 and brought my tenor to UCLA, where I played in every band that I could. For the beginning, students will start developing the technique of sound with simple exercises and tunes during which we will explore the basic music concepts: pitch, intervals, rhythm, dynamic expression, music notation and reading. After that process, we will start studying the chords and scales relationships, applied on the instrument, to develop a comprehension of the tonal-modal system.
