Having studied some of the most renowned saxophonists in their field, including Timothy McAllister and Eugene Rousseau, I am comfortable teaching saxophonists of all levels. As a performer I have won or placed in numerous competitions through the country, performed a concerto with a professional orchestra for an audience of 3,000, and have have played hundreds of jazz gigs. One of things I that I find discouraging is when teachers stick with one method. Every student is different! As a result, my method of teaching very much depends on the student. If I have a student who is struggling with fundamentals, then we will focus on fundamentals. If I have a student who is struggling with articulations, then we will focus on articulations in lessons.
