Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For those who are beginning on their horns, I will be using the Essential Elements book. Within this books starts off with the basic whole notes and half notes than moves to quarter notes. Every other page adds a new note to their repertoire. For those who have been on their horns, I will be using the 2nd/3rd Essential Elements book. Those who have no trouble with those books, I will be introducing them to solo works and adding some theory in there for they can understand the basics of music and what comes with it. Read More

I began teaching trumpet privately 44 years ago. Over the years I have added voice, beginning piano, trombone, euphonium,and recorder to my studio. I encourage each student to practice several times a week for as long as they can. I find that some students like to practice in one sitting, whereas others prefer to practice for 10-15 minutes before taking a break and then returning. Thabie has been teaching at Keys to Creativity for 2 years and he recently received his masters in the field of Piano Pedagogy and Performance at George Mason University. While at George Mason, he studied with Dr. Joanne Haroutounian and Dr. Anna Balerkerskaia. During his graduate studies he performed a lecture recital featuring the works of John Field and a senior recital. During his undergraduate studies he was invited to play at the Schlern International Music Festival in Italy where he performed a Nocturne by Glinka and the Second movement of the Haydn Gypsy Piano Trio.
