While my students will follow a basic program, I vary my teaching techniques based on the student's individual needs. For younger students, I typically start with John W. Schaum Piano Course: Pre-A: The Green Book and A Dozen a Day Piano Exercises. For older students, I like to use our first complimentary 30-minute lesson to discuss their personal goals and create a basic lesson plan. With EVERY student, I implement the use of flashcards, games, videos, interactive experiences, and enjoyable homework assignments that will teach the student how to play the piano, read sheet music, understand music theory, and appreciate music as a whole. I debuted at Richardson Auditorium with the New Jersey Youth Symphony and performed at the Chautauqua Institution Piano Program as a pianist. I have won the University of Rochester River Campus Concerto Competition. I hold a M.M. in Piano Performance from Montclair State University.
