After graduating high school in 2002, I attended Muhlenberg College. When I was at Indiana University, I tutored fellow music students who wanted to study piano, and I also began teaching privately. Since then, I have adjunct faculty at Seton Hall University, and I have taught privately. My students have ranged in age from 5 through adult, and I've taught all levels of experience. I am a composer and performer rooted in Elkridge, Maryland. I write music in many genres and styles for a variety of performers and different ensembles, typically specializing in repertoire for small chamber ensembles. I am as comfortable conceiving of works for two clarinets as I am crafting a piece out of cat meows and synthesized bird sounds. My music has been featured at UMBC and Howard Community College, with performances by the UMBC Chamber Players, UMBC New Music Ensemble, and the UMBC Gamelan. Read More

I started to learn piano at 6 and it became my soul mate of my life. I just graduated from Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Graduate Performance Diploma in piano performance major. For begining students who are under the age of thirteen, I prefer to start with Bastien's Piano Basics. This series comes with four different books (Technic, Piano, Performance, and Theory) that give the student a well rounded lesson. For students over the age of thirteen, I like to use Alfred's Basic Piano Course. This series has a more mature song selection, a variety of genres, includes music theory, and has piano excercises.
