For all students I'll be going over various ways to memorize any piece. I'll go over intervals, imperfect pitches, scale structure, chord progression, and how to apply all of it. Encouraging regular practise and emphasizing proper hand and wrist placement are things that I emphasize. I like to watch and see why someone is struggling to play a song, and I am able to offer a solution. My teaching experience started in high school when I started teaching harp and piano part time. I had a close relationship with my music teachers growing up and I hope to establish the same type of relationship with my own students as I have with previous ones. Since then, I've taught primarily clarinet students independently at Butler University in Indianapolis.
