I am a graduate from the Lamont School of Music in DU, and received my bachelor's at Cal State Northridge, both degrees in performance. I incorporate styles and songs the student enjoys listening to or playing as well. I like to teach classical music. When it comes to teaching, I find the most important thing is that we work towards the goal of what the student wants to learn - in the case of their preferred styles/genres of music, and the songs that they really enjoy. Every student has their own individual skill level and pace that can be developed and worked around. I was raised up in Northern California in the arts of music and dance since a young age of three. I started lessons in Oakland, CA in dance, music and acrobats with Peggy and Leon Valdez and then tap performance and theater arts with Chorlene and Art Duane in Hayward, CA.
