Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I use many different methods since I am of the opinion that all methods have their strengths and their weaknesses. For children I typically use the Suzuki method and suplement with exercises and outside repertoire to compensate for the weaknesses in the Suzuki method. I also use the Royal Conservatory method and try to teach its repertoire when the student is at an advance- beginner or intermediate level. Read More

My methods really depend on the level of the student. For beginners, I tend to stick to basics by teaching them chords, scales, and basic music theory; by using music that they would like to learn how to play. To aid with the learning of basic music theory, I might have the students learn some older music, just as a chance to analyze it, but nothing more than that unless of course they would like to.
