For Band students I normally use the method used in class or I will use the Ed Suede Band method. I like this method because it starts out very basically and simply and gradually increases in difficulty. Voice students must first pass an Audiation test which is essentially a test of their sense of pitch. From there I begin with vocalizations followed by singing materials. I have been playing saxophone for more than 20 years. I was awarded multiple scholarships at South Plains College to play in their Symphonic and Jazz Bands. I have many years of experience playing at in my church choir as well. As a result of which I have played professionally at numerous weddings and other similar events. I'm a passionate and motivated teacher who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2017, I graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. I worked closely with Opera San Antonio for several years. Then, in 2024 I graduated from UMKC with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to sing both with the New York Dramatic Voices as well as touring the United Kingdom with Music Across the Pond.
