I consistently encourage students by giving them positive feedback about the progress they are making. I also help them push themselves to become better singers by being an inspiration and a mentor for them throughout their journey. I do feel that music is a journey, not a destination. For beginners I ask what are their favorite songs and go from there. If they do not know then I usually play a popular song. I hope to get the beginner attuned with playing along and the importance of timing. With my guidance the student builds their own beginner book through our lessons. I have experience with a wide-range of children and can accommodate a variety of cognitive and emotional needs. However, I do teach all ages. My youngest student was 4, and my oldest was 72. I have been teaching violin since 2017. Every student's musical journey is unique and I work with their individual strengths to help them achieve their goals.
