My love for teaching has grown over the years out of the success I see my students achieve. Being able to guide a student towards vocal growth is the most rewarding part of what I do. I love seeing the "lightbulb" go off for them. I have taken voice lessons for 14 years, and know how it feels to be frustrated vocally but also thriving vocally. As someone who still routinely takes lessons, I know firsthand how important the relationship between teacher and student can be. I started regularly teaching private lessons in 2019. I worked at the Wilmette Parks District, the Park District of Highland Park, Dynamic Music, and as a freelance teacher. I also was a music director for the Wilmette Children's Theatre, the Florida Repertory Theatre, and Highland Park's summer programming. I've been playing guitar since I was eight, piano since I was twelve, and I've been singing my whole life. I tailor my instruction to each students needs. For a beginning student, the fundamentals are key. Once they have a good grasp of the fundamentals, realistic goals are set for each lesson. I like to show my excitement when a student has accomplished a specific goal well. I enjoy having the student play duets with me.
