Instruments: Drums Conga Latin Percussion Djembe
I am deeply inspired by students who are eager and motivated to learn drumming. I meet each student where they are, looking and listening for the unique learning style of each student. After i access what approaches work best based on their ability level, I design a systematic practice routine based on Technique, Vocabulary, Independence, Coordination, and Musicality. If its required I can assist in writing charts for songs. Im focused on targeting the areas where improvement is needed and to encourage and challenge students to develop discipline, good habits, while striving to improve and overcome the weakness aspects of their drumming. Instruments: Drums Mallet Percussion Orchestral Percussion
I try to marry the goals of each of my students with the necessary skills of a complete, professional musician - time, style, feel, sensitivity, adaptability, and control. I tend to start with any grip/technique issues and then expand on the student's vocabulary, building on what already feels comfortable to them. Each lesson is completely customized to the individual; there is no "one-size-fits-all" delivery for each lesson plan - and that's what makes teaching such a fun challenge for me. Read More

I love teaching, it's what I'm very passionate about and gifted at. I am aware that everyone learns differently, and I will teach accordingly to your needs. To help someone grow in their passion as well, one that we share, is a great reward. With my teaching style you will learn how to play your instrument with pride, passion, and power (The three P's). You will have fun while learning new techniques, and patterns to grow your skill level and passion. Read More

I began teaching the trombone privately when I was 15 years old and have since expanded to teach all brass instruments at all age levels and interests. Many of my students have been successful at the district and state honor band levels and have gone on to attend reputable music schools across the country. I have worked with notable organizations such as the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra, The Boston Arts Academy, the Atlanta Music Project and Empower College Prep. Read More
Instruments: Guitar
I am an acoustic percussive guitarist currently working in the greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. I have been teaching guitar almost as long as I've been playing guitar, starting with just friends and family but eventually moving on to support myself as a private instructor. I have apprenticed with UDC Jazz Band Guitarist Pete Muldoon and Matt Kelley (of the blues band "Big Boy Little"). I supported myself in highschool by working in DC's local guitarshop, which is where I started teaching my first students. Read More
