I just recently graduated from the University of Alabama in early May with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance. I have been studying piano for almost twelve years. For beginning students, I use the first Essential Element book to introduce the first instrument and theory concepts. Once students have progressed past this book, I use the Tune a Day series along with the accompanying scale book. This book introduces students to solo and duet pieces worthy of a recital performance.
