I am a recent university graduate who is passionate about sharing my love of music with students, and developing that devotion with them! I have a special interest in performing, so my lessons reflect my training in performance with major orchestras. I currently participate in the Seven Hills Symphony here in Cincinnati, as well as smaller chamber ensembles for paid gigs. For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For piano I general use the Faber and Faber method books unless I feel that a particular method would better benefit a specific student. Read More

Thank you for your interest in my teaching! I am a guitarist from Eastern Kentucky who currently resides in Cincinnati. As an artist, I believe in working to broaden the cultural horizon of this instrument through the arrangement and performance of works from around the world. I take an approach to teaching that uses music literacy training to help students effectively pursue their individual musical interests. As an avid educator, Ms. Ma is totally committed to teaching. She is a fully-trained Suzuki cello teacher and Dalcroze Eurythmics instructor having completed her training at the Cleveland Institute of Music Suzuki Pedagogy Program. She currently holds teaching positions with the Cincinnati Young Artists, University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory, 2019 CYA Summer Cello Academy, Indian Springs Academy of Music and Musika Lessons.
