For Beginners I focus on the fundamentals: instrument skills, posture, bow hold, left-hand placement, and how to produce a sound. I use a lot of repetition and review to build muscle memory, and we often learn some music by ear until that memory forms. Students may learn by ear with the bow or start reading music while plucking, but I try to introduce the bow as soon as possibleafter all, its the fun part! Read More

I have been teaching lessons since High School. Back then, I mostly taught beginner students on the Piano. Since College, I have expanded my teaching repertoir to include Piano, Organ, Violin, and Viola. For the past 7 years, I have been teaching and instructing my students on the best practices as blossoming musicians. Nothing can make you a better musician than practice and consistency. Through ear training, creativity, and learning "how" music works, the goal is to get each student to not need a teacher to learn their instrument, but want a teacher so they may become their best version of it.
