I've had great teaching experiences since I've been teaching. I teach students the basics and then work on their own music. This keeps the student interested, keeping them wanting to practice. I believe practice is the key to success. I also teach music reading which helps the student to learn how to see music on the page. Having had so much experience with so many apposing methods, I myself have learned that there are as many different types of learners as there are types of people, so it is best to let the student show you what works for them. I'm relatively new to the teaching life, but I love it regardless. I started in September of 2018 with one student who I taught throughout the semester, and seeing him grow throughout the months was satisfying unlike anything else I've experienced.
