My teaching experience dates back to high school when I started teaching cello to students in my school district's orchestra program. Since then, I have continued to teach freelance through personal connections, Musika, and various non-profit organizations. Furthermore, I am currently in my internship to become a board certified music therapist, and have experience teaching music to individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and dementia/Alzheimer's. After graduating high school in 2002, I attended Muhlenberg College. While there, I studied Music Theory, and had the good fortune to play piano in the school's Jazz Improvisation Ensemble, led by renowned bassist and former Modern Jazz Quartet alum Charles Fambrough. During this time many students have gone onward to participate in various music schools along the east coast. I currently teach online lessons. I have also taught in the public school system as a music educator for the past seven years. My teaching experience dates back to my grad school years, as I began teaching private lessons part time in 1995. Since then, I have been teaching more and more students both privately and in school setting. I have taught in Park School, The Friends School in Baltimore area, and Towson University preparatory music department, and currently I'm a faculty in McDonogh School Private Music department. I like to work with children of all ages and I enjoy helping them develop new skills, especially in the area of music performance.
