While at Eustace, I won the Bishop Eustace Leadership in Music Award & the John Philip Sousa Award, the latter being a national award to honor the top student in high school band as it recognizes musicianship and outstanding dedication by one of the senior year members of the band. During my time at High School my involvement in music studies, classes, & advancement began & helped me find my voice in life & keep me out of any trouble a high schooler could be exposed or get into. I like to help children and any person of any age master basic musical skills, improve listening ability, and acquire physical comfort with their instrument voice, piano, and guitar with performing. Intermediate and advanced students learn to read music, improve technical proficiency, and play skill specific repertoire. I like to teach what the student likes to learn and if they want a suggestion I can do that. My goal is to teach all levels and make them better musicians. Read More

I am a super passionate and motivated music educator who loves working with students all ages. I graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry Studies. My major encompasses all aspects of the music industry including business, entertainment law, education, songwriting, and music theory. I have performed on campus as well as in the Burlington, NJ area as a busker. I also sang in the chamber choir where I got to sing at the Empire State Building and visited Aaron Coplands house in New York. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet
My passion for the trumpet has come from developing my skills through a disciplined focus on mechanics and fundamentals. In middle school most of my development came through trial and error with a transition to private lessons my junior year of high school. I have found that a majority of young trumpet players approach the instrument in a fashion that hinders their progress. By training a student to shift from a "pressure" to a " compression" mindset they are able to use the air stream to reach their range, power and flexibility goals. Read More

As a student, I would dread the idea of a boring practice, therefore as a teacher, I do all I can to make lessons engaging and useful. I believe that music should be approached holistically and with an open mind rather than trying to force one method to work for everyone, so I strive to tailor my methods according to the needs of each of my students. With that in mind, I usually start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements for young students, and our lessons will consist of playing from the book, as well as working on crucial skills like ear training and improvisation. I have been teaching musical arts for quite some time now and really enjoy teaching and seeing my students grow in skill and confidence. Before teaching private lessons and then in a local music school, I was in a working Rock and Roll band, playing mostly original songs. I have played from Pawtucket, Rhode island down to the Outer banks in North Carolina. Of course, we played the majority of our shows in Philadelphia. Read More

In college, I taught private music theory lessons to a given curriculum. I also music directed a male-voiced a cappella group, conducted a chamber choir, and music directed and accompanied several musical theater productions. Each of these, to different degrees, requires a one-on-one approach, so no matter what the setting, I am always working personally with the student to determine what it is they want to achieve and help them to get there.
