I have been teaching private lessons for five years now to students aged 8-18. I have also taught general music classes to 3 month-two year olds in an early childhood music class. My students have excelled through solos, ensembles, festivals, etc. I believe in consistency of instruction and positive reinforcement and criticism. Approaching every student as if they are different than the one previously ensures that there is assessment of needs in every lesson. I believe that every student regardless of their ability level will learn something, and should have the opportunity to learn music. I am a graduate of National Kiev Conservatory of Music with Master Degree in both Violin Performance and Music Education. After graduation from conservatory I worked full time in the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine for 10 years and then another 8 years in national Kiev Opera and Ballet Theater. As a child, I participated in choir for 8 years and was in the University of Michigan's University Choir and Orpheus Singers. For the first twelve years, I was mentored under the tutelage of Janet Houston. I also have a combined 14 years of orchestral performance experience, beginning with the Dearborn Youth Symphony which lasted ten years.
