Instruments: Voice

Every voice is unique and special.  I work hard to help each student find his or her own voice.  The environment I strive for is created by a collaborative and individualized effort. As an instructor, listening to the needs of each student is the key to finding an approach best suited for their needs. One must listen to their singing as well as how they communicate their understanding of their own instrument. Read More

I love my students and like to be friend with them after class. My fun outgoing personality they seem to respond to positively. At the same time, I am a very strict teacher during the lessons. Music is my passion and I love sharing it with others. I've been an instructor for drums and percussion for over twenty years. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, I moved to L.A. where I continued my studies alongside ultra professional drummers Dave Weckl Chad Wackerman. While living in California I was able to gain invaluable experience performing on stage and recording in major studios. After moving back to the east coast I remain active in the music scene local to Baltimore, Maryland as well as playing nationally with groups ranging from Nashville, California and New York. My teaching style is fully interactive. As a teacher of both music and computers, I was never a dictatorial teacher. Other teachers, even young ones, that everyone was up and around. Talking to each other. Some listening to music. Whatever style fits the learner. You cannot "cheat" in music performance. Either you can do it or you cannot. Everyone does not learn the same way, so everyone should not be taught the same way. Read More
