We further move on to the Intermediate and Advanced methods while also adding solo repertoire that is suitable to their skill level. Along with these method books, we will also work on music that they personally enjoy. Ms. Ma is a top-prize winner of numerous competitions, including first prize winner of the 2018 "Golden Classical Music Awards' ' International Competition. As an orchestral musician, she has been the cello principal for the Cleveland Women Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra and Central Conservatory of Music Chamber Orchestra. Born in Hebei, China, Ms. Ma first came to the USA as a scholarship student at the Idylwild Arts Academy in California before finishing high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy. Read More

I began teaching in Mississippi in 2011 to college students at the University of Southern Mississippi. After moving to Cincinnati, I began teaching preschool music. I began developing a preschool curriculum at the University of Cincinnati's Preparatory Program that combined reading, dancing, singing and imagining. After teaching privately for a year, I began my position as Executive Director of the Cincinnati Outreach (COR) Music Project. I move at a very quick pace, but I have my students set their own goals. While I will select the literature for the student, I want them to feel successful when they are working with me. I want students to be confident and successful, so I will do anything in my power to help them learn good technique and practice habits. Through the my Master's degree at CCM I kept a small private studio of piano and voice students. I am now up to 26 students and work full time teaching and performing.
