As a performer, I’ve given concerts throughout the United States, South America and Italy. Recent performance venues include: Cincinnati’s Music Hall, Eastern Kentucky University, Music For All Seasons, Universidad Espíritu Santo, Christ Church Cathedral, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Incontri Chirarristici di Gargnano. I like to find songs that students really care about, because then they will be more interested in learning them. My teaching style is very flexible in that all students are different, and learn in different ways. Ive taught really young kids and Ive also taught seniors. I have used many of the pedagogy books, and I know how to find best curriculum for getting students to where they need to be technically and musically.  I implement materials of my own design mixed with songs of the students choosong and tastes, and typically have them up and playing a song or two that they like in a couple of lessons.  All ages, styles, and expereince levels are welcome. For reading,  I like to use a combination of notation, tabs and chord diagrams.  And while I dont absolutely insist that the student learn to read notation, I do strongly encourage it. Read More

I am pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Flute at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music as a student of Randy Bowman, Principal Flute of the Cincinnati Symphony. My personal musical highlights include performances with the CCM Philharmonia, Wind Orchestra, and Chamber Players. You can also find me in the pit orchestras for many theaters in Cincinnati.
