The technique I use is based on the Alexander Method of teaching and promotes proper breath control and tone placement over volume production and belting. Most singers, young and old, come to me with the idea that to create volume, you must yell or sing from your throat. With that mindset, what oftentimes happens is the voice will give out after five years and will result in the need of surgery to remove things like vocal nodules. Read More

I have recorded and released three projects so far that have received radio play internationally and been on the charts on college public radio. I like to start with New Direction for Strings for fundamentals and short songs , while peppering in pieces from the suzuki books and fun exercises I've picked up along the way to facilitate learning away from the instrument. I have tons of performance experience performing in professional opera pits, orchestras accompanying premier vocal artists, subbing in regional orchestras, and even playing on albums for new classical artists. My true passion is sharing my experiences and pedagogy expertise to bring out the best in talented students. Additionally, I performed in many trombone quartets, trombone choirs, and other various brass ensembles and that sense of community is something I aim to bring to my students. Read More
