During this time, I worked with children from as little as preschool all the way up to 7th graders and got them engaged in a musical environment. My experience in teaching is not only in the musical aspect. I was also a Spanish teacher for Centro Latino in Berkeley. Teaching music is like teaching another languages. In my specialties, clarinet and saxophone, the pause, breathing and acentuation have a very important part in phrasing the notes. I make sure to keep active on my trombone by playing in as many bands as possible and encourage my students to do the same.
