Since then I have obtained my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northwestern State University, as well as a Master's degree in Trombone Performance. I tend to work with students on a one-on-one basis. I start by showing the student how to get a sound out of their instrument, and then I lead a student through their first scales. I almost always play the piece or scale first, as I have found learning to read music is far easier to learn when the student already has an idea how the music should sound before they try to play the piece.
