I have been working with children since I began working with Bar-T Summer Camps in 2007 at age 13. In my second year at Berklee College of Music, I decided to pursue music education. I have always been fascinated in music instruction. I have taught ages 5-18 in many different music fields like composition, arranging, performance, composition and theory. In high school I won the MD Distinguished Scholarship in music performance, which allowed me to pursue a career in music performance. I attended UMBC and completed a music performance degree. Later I earned a degree in Music Education, and have been teaching in public school since 2003. I've taught privately, in after school Guitar Ensembles and Rock n Roll Workshops, as well as Life-Long Learning Classes. I began teaching in the music performance/ production field in 2010, while away at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland. I started teaching production to middle school students first, using my laptop, audio interface, and midi keyboard. What surprised me the most was that the students wanted to play the keyboard more than record their voices, so with that being the case, my journey as a piano teacher began.
