I love working with students of all ages! In 2018, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Charleston Southern University and have been teaching ever since. I grew up traveling with my older siblings who are all musicians, and we would perform all over for concerts, weddings, social events, churches, and more. My teaching philosophy is "exploration as a road to mastery." I help students build a repertoire they can perform. This tends to be a combination of songs they know and love, and songs that I introduce them to. I introduce the elements of music theory in relation to songs. Scales, harmony, and ear training are grasped better, and enjoyed more, once a student has context. My goal is to have each student feel safe in the learning process, while still pushing them out of their comfort zone. Read More

I've been teaching guitar for the past four years and drums for 10. My favorite thing about teaching is when a student gets to a playing level they didn't think possible. Seeing the transformation is the most rewarding part of the job for me, because I know first hand how good it feels to improve and progress.
