My method is divided in two categories: Application and theory. For beginning students we work on basic motor skills for the instrument. Through simple exercises, utilizing patterns from diagrams, most students gain a proficiency at handling the instruments within weeks. During this time students are also introduced to the notes and common chords, learning their names, titles and relationships to each other on the fretboard. I began offering private string lessons in College during summers in Florida. I taught private string lessons. Further into my education I took internships in music therapy working with many different populations. I gave therapeutic music lessons to patients in hospitals like Massachusetts General Hospital, Worcester Recovery Center and McLean Hospital. There I ventured into teaching guitar and voice.
