I am a full time performer and music instructor who works with all ages and various levels. I perform multiple times a week at public and private events like bars, weddings, and farmer's markets doing a wide variety of styles. Watching a student successfully progress through lesson form is an unparallel feeling that inspires and guides me to continue. I have given lessons to age groups ranging from 9 years old to 70+ and feel that it's important to first identify where the student is at and how to build on what they already know. The most important philosophical concept about private lessons is this: proceed in a way that will maximize your potential to achieve an excellent goal that you can call your own. Although I am not limited to one method book or another, I typically use Arban's for trumpet lessons - with other books and repertoire along with it. My background is Suzuki violin, followed by music literacy and transposition.
