I have performed at over 2000 events, taught students of all ages along the way, and also have taught flute and music theory at the college level. I try to pick up on the student's personality and learning styles and make each person's lesson a combination of my teaching styles and what works best for the student. For beginning students, I use the Trevor Wye beginning books and supplement with solos, etudes, songs and exercises that I give them which are appropriate for their level. For more advanced students, I will use etudes and methods/ solos which are appropriate for their level. For adults, I will find their interests and select a course of study with them.  With all students, I will assist with their school music or any ensemble/ solo music they wish.
