This seems to progress at a very suitable speed, comfortable yet still challenging, and has proved to be quite effective in getting basics down. I encourage positive self-assessments and self talk, and strongly believe that progress is based on collaborative efforts of the student and teacher. My students have won seats in district and regional band and orchestra competitions, play in competitive youth symphonies, and have participated in solo and ensemble recitals.
