I have a deep joy for music making that I have eagerly shared with my students for the last 15 years. In addition to my varied teaching career, I am also a full-time freelance musician and travel all over the country and the world (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Rome, Dublin) as a soloist and ensemble member. I have been fortunate to make music professionally since I was a teenager which inspired me to earn a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and History, and Master of Music in Vocal Performance. If a student wants to work on one specific style, be it classical, jazz, or pop oriented music, I will show them the music, materials, and methods required for mastery in that subject. Along with this subject-specific teaching, I will also teach about the history of the flute and all styles that it might be used in. Read More

I like to also offer repertoire options that are among the most famous and well known for the instrument. Read More

Music can also be heard or read, so I try to strike a balance between reading music/theory and learning/improvising by ear. Read More
