When the student practices with the rice, they produce a powerful"toot" the first time the headjoint reaches their lips! I like to use the Suzuki materials for flute and also mix it up with favorite duet books and classic repetoire. Showing students what to practice and how to practice are key elements. My methods are geared to improve tone production, articulation, phrasing and musicality.
