I began teaching as a young flutist, but started teaching private flute lessons during my freshmen year of college, and have been teaching both kids and adults since then. I have performed with the Skidmore College Orchestra as the principal flutist as well as the Skidmore Wind Ensemble, Skidmore Chorus, composition recitals, and vocal recitals. In 2018, I won second prize in the Skidmore Concerto Competition and performed Reineckes flute concerto with the Skidmore Orchestra in March, 2019. Read More

If I do not tell a student that something they are learning is difficult, they will never develop a complex that they cannot do it. Once I began student teaching on Long Island, I began building a small studio of flute students. I then moved to NYC where I taught in the NYC public school system for 9 years teaching 6-12 grade. In that time, I started the music program at my school where I built 5 choruses, an orchestra, recorder class, a Broadway appreciation class, a step team and completed numerous other tasks. Read More
