I hope to inspire a love of music in others through my teaching, playing, and composing. In 2012 I graduated from Eastman School of Music with High Honors, and in 2015 I received a Master's degree in Jazz Studies from New York University, and in 2022 I received a PhD in Music Performance from NYU. I have performed in Italy, Canada, Costa Rica, and throughout the United States, and have taught various styles and instruments to students of all ages. I began teaching private flute lessons when I was in high school to younger students in the Amityville school district, Amityville, NY. Once I began student teaching on Long Island, I began building a small studio of flute students. I then moved to NYC where I taught in the NYC public school system for 9 years teaching 6-12 grade. In that time, I started the music program at my school where I built 5 choruses, an orchestra, recorder class, a Broadway appreciation class, a step team and completed numerous other tasks. I have played many diverse styles over the years. In addition to being well known in the world of classical saxophone, where I have worked with and studied with several world famous players, I have always enjoyed playing in jazz ensembles and playing clarinet in both chamber music and symphony orchestra settings. Music has given me the opportunity to tour to a dozen countries and perform in some of the world's great concert halls, from Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center in New York to halls in London, Moscow, Kiev, and Tokyo. I began teaching flute privately in 2000, building a flute studio in Buffalo, NY of over 15 members. My students are known for their consistency in rhythm and pitch, along with their love of flute. I encourage all students to enter competitions and attend performances and masterclasses, which motivates students and encourages them to seek their own creative outlets. I've found that through combining not only flute fundamentals, but music theory, singing and movement, I have had a higher success rate for continued improvement with my students. Read More

I've taught private lessons in the New York area for 15 years. Over years of touring internationally, I've been involved with running workshops on Eastern European music at festivals and cultural centers. And, while working on my master's degree at Queens College, I founded and directed the Queens College Balkan Music Ensemble, devising a curriculum for students that had no familiarity with Balkan music.
