For beginners students, I start with Trevor Wye's Beginners Book for Flute, as well as Rubank's selected duets (Volume 1), and Marcel Moyse The Debutante Flutist. Once we have covered the basic foundations of the flute and have formed a core sound, I then introduce solo repertoire that is appropriate for the students. Every student is different and has there own unique learning style, and I like to be able to structure each lesson to best fit the learning styles of the student. I mix in ear-training with all of my students through different ways of connecting them to the music. I am a passionate jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator originally from Los Angeles area. In 2018, I graduated with B.A. in Saxophone Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Studies at California State University, Long Beach. I am currently attending Manhattan School of Music for a Masters degree in Jazz Composition.
