I like to also focus a lot on the exhale of air into the instrument, and the relationship to blowing air through technical passages. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I believe that students should be passionate about the music they are learning, so I encourage my students to select at least one piece of music that they are motivated and excited to learn each month.
