I have had a passion since I was 6 years old for music, I recieved B.S in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Central Michigan University and an Associates in Dance from University of Michigan. During which times I also performed with Flint Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Michigan Symphony, and the Symphony Orchestra of Leon. If I have a student who is struggling with fundamentals, then we will focus on fundamentals. If I have a student who is struggling with articulations, then we will focus on articulations in lessons. I emphasize, above all, practice. If a student doesn't practice daily, then they aren't going to improve at their full potentail rate. I would never "push" a student, but I do encourage students to strive for their best. I know when I need to adapt the situation to fit a student's specific needs. If a student isn't getting something, I know exactly how to back up, break it down, and explain it in a way that they will understand. Read More
