I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and improviser who is equally passionate about teaching music as I am about playing it. I graduated with a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Composition and Music Technology from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College.I perform often as both a solo vocalist and technologist and with my experimental RnB group The Pluto Moons. As a soloist, my performances and recordings of my own compositions have been featured at a variety of festivals throughout the world, including the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, the PNEM Festival in Uden Netherlands, and the Hrlursfestival in Solleftea, Sweden. For beginner level students I start out with learning how to strike the drum as well as simple coordination exercises and intro level drum beats. After the student can grasp basic exercises, I introduce learning how to read music which will lead to reading out of various drum set instructional as well as technique books. For more advanced students I work out of books focusing on furthering coordination and technique, widening the ability to play different styles, chart reading with play alongs, soloing as well as the students interests. I've been playing and studying music since I was pretty young. I've been in several music schools and received education by multiple music teachers and artist since 2000. In 2016 I graduate from The Collective School of Music in NYC with a Diploma in Music and Professional Drummer Performer. Having multiple influences and had studied with different teachers allows me to teach students of all ages and levels.
