For piano I use a combination of the Bastien books, if you are a beginner. For more intermediate or advanced I use whatever music the student is interested in. It could be the Great American Songbook or classical music. For percussion, for beginners I use the Garwood Whaley book, Fundamentals for the Snare Drum. For drum set I use the Syncopation Book by Ted Reed and a variety of other books depending on the need. Read More

My love for music started when I was 13 and I started playing drums. I soon got in a band and was enlisted by default as the bass player. I fell in love with the instrument and dedicated my life to becoming a professional musician. When I was 18 I moved to Boston to pursue a degree at Berklee College of Music where I graduated in 2017. For beginners, I will start with no sticks in the hands at all! Just tapping on your legs with your hands and getting all of the limbs to work together is hard enough! Then we will put sticks in your hands and learn technique, and finally introduce reading music. One step at a time is the best as to not overwhelm the student.
