My main goal as an educator is to first and foremost teach to the personal goals of the student. Lessons are planned and taught around both fundamentals and technique, as well as material surrounding the students preferred musical styles, goals they want to reach, and music they are working on in groups outside of our private lessons. I like to get to know the student as I am teaching so I create small breaks to get to know who I am teachign and their interest, so that I may taylor my lessons to the student. For beginning students I like to use essential elements books as a guide for their practice. My role is to make this journey as smooth and efficient as possible by providing the appropriate materials and guidance.
