I am a graudate of Heidelberg University, emphaisis in percussion and also stuided piano, keyboard and voice throughout grade school, high school and college. I am, and also been active with the Girard Community Swing, Dixie, and Concert Bands (2001 to Present); Girard High School Marching, Concert and Pep Bands (1981-1986); Heidelberg University Concert, Marching and Pep Bands (1986-1991); Warren Junior Military Band (1982-1985). I teach musical skills through the use of contemporary music while enforcing traditional concepts. I love to share the joy of playing drums with students of any level or age! For beginning students who are children, I start with some simple rhythmic concepts and some easy sight reading. When they have established some fundamentals on the set, I can teach them how to play a song that they love or different grooves that they will enjoy playing. Read More

It is very easy today to record lessons and send students home with different songs to play along to. Drums are much more fun when you play with other musicians and one way to do that is with recordings. Again there is room for me to bring music to the student, but also room for the student to bring something to me that they want to learn.
