My teaching experience dates back to my high school days, as I began teaching private lessons out of my mom's kitchen 10 years ago. Since then I have been consistently teaching students at both colleges I have attended. Now that I have moved back to my hometown, I am employed at a local music store teaching woodwind players. For classical studies, there are some standard saxophone repertoire books I like to go to. For brand new students, I use Essential Elements books, for intermediate students I use Rubank method books, and for advanced students I use the Ferling etude book. What makes a good clarinetist is not just someone with excellent technique and breath control. I strive to teach my clients to attain not just those skills, but most importantly to use their playing to connect with the audience, tell a story, and change lives. My lesson plan ensures that my clients build a strong foundation in their clarinet embouchure, tone, technical skills, and musicality. I love to encourage my students and to push them to become successful musicians. Read More
