My teaching experience started in 1976 when my teacher had passed away and I inherited his students teaching at Major music school in Irvington New Jersey teaching saxophone clarinet and flute I remain there for approximately 20 years When i relocated to central New Jersey where I was a teacher in the Franklin Township Edison South Brunswick and North Brunswick school system also doing private studio teaching And teaching at students homes and was also offering bassoon an oboe to my students I generally use if the student is in a school program what they are using working on their band music and then supplementing their lessons with appropriate solo material and technical material and I’m able to teach everything from jazz improvisation to orchestral playing and beginning to intermediate Oboe With my extensive performance and teaching experience I welcome the opportunity to expand to new students Read More

I have been teaching students for about twelve years.  I held graduate teaching assistantships at the University of Florida, Boston University and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.  In addition, I woas a contracted instructor at a private K-6 school in Chestnut Hill, MA.  My students have won auditions and competitions at both the professional and collegiate levels.  While I am passionate and very serious about the art, I also feel it is important to enjoy playing and studying music. I like to set goals for my students. I generally work out of lessons books, solo repertoire, and whatever else the student brings in. If the students have music from classes in school, I will also assist them with that. I try to keep the lesson light, and enjoyable! In 2007, I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. I was a member of the Penn State Marching Blue Band and have participated in several Alumni Blue Band performances since graduating. I went on to earn my Masters of Music in Music Education from Northwestern University in 2012. I enjoyed teaching music in the public school for ten years.
