I am a dedicated and enthusiastic instructor and performer. Music has always been a positive influence on my life; I hope to foster the same lifelong love of music in my students! I hold a Masters degree from Manhattan School of Music in clarinet performance and a Bachelors degree from the University of Maryland, also in clarinet performance. As a performer, I have had the opportunity to play at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the Kimmel Center and I spent one summer performing as a member of the National Reperotry Orchestra in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. At Indiana University I performed solo recitals, concertos, chamber music, and in orchestra. I like to make music learning a self-engaged process. Students will keep track of their assignments, make some of the decisions about what music to play, and be expected to practice a minimum of 5 or 6 days per week. Students are sometimes reluctant to have discipline at first, but once they realize that they are making fast progress and overcoming musical challenges, they tend to have a great time.
