My experience in teaching is not only in the musical aspect. I was also a Spanish teacher for Centro Latino in Berkeley. Teaching music is like teaching another languages. In my specialties, clarinet and saxophone, the pause, breathing and acentuation have a very important part in phrasing the notes. I have had an active teaching schedule since high school. In my senior year at the San Francisco School of the Arts high school, I served as the Clarinet Coach at Presidio Middle School. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, I was the Clarinet Instructor at Cazadero Music Camp, where my duties included leading daily masterclasses, coaching ensembles of all size, leading sectionals, and more.
