I am a passionate educator and performer from the greater Boston area. I love to see my students succeed and achieve their musical goals. My students have gone on to the college level at University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and University of New Hampshire. At the undergraduate level, I played with the UNH Wind Symphony and the UNH Symphony Orchestra for three years. I have had two full solo recitals at UNH, and I have had the opportunity to be recorded on the Wind Symphony CD: The Music of Daniel Bukvitch. Upon graduating with two degrees I moved to New York City. Read More

If a more advanced student is striving for something like NYSSMA or All-State, I would pace them and their lessons accordingly so that they will be ready in time for whatever they might be preparing for. However, despite this different approach, I would still work with them to understand their strengths and weaknesses with playing so that I can help them improve accordingly. Read More

My teaching style will vary from student to student based on his/her and the parents goals. Deep understanding of concepts will be emphasized before moving on to the next concept. An important aspect of my teaching is for the student to become a "mindful learner" and develop an awareness of what is being practiced. Read More

It's important for me to know my students personally! I want to know what other hobbies you have and what inspires you. I can give a little "tough love" when it's required and I like to push my students to apply themselves on their instrument. I also have a growth mindset and acknowledge that everyone learns differently. I want to figure out how each of my students learn optimally. I want to make things achievable and break music down into digestible, accomplishable targets. Read More
