I strive for clarity, focus, and direction in my teaching without stifling the student's own creativity. My lessons prove to be demanding, but calm and constructive. I ensure that students understand the topics discussed, and do not proceed beyond until they obtain a genuine grasp and internalization. The time for which it takes different students to process a new concept varies greatly. As such, I pace lessons based upon each individual student. Read More

Im a passionate musician who has discovered the rewards of teaching and inspiring others about music. I began learning clarinet at a young age in the Lynn public schools system in Massachusetts. I was encouraged to further pursue musical studies by certain motivating and inspirational mentors. I attended Boston University and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance, then in 2023 with a Master of Music degree also in Clarinet Performance. Read More

I began teaching before I graduated from high school thanks to a tutoring program at the high school. I had so much fun working with the elementary school kids that I decided to build a studio up of my own and ever since i have been working with a number of students ages ranging from 4-80. My students are individually pushed to reach goals that they make for themselves at the start of lessons no matter what that goal might be and I love being able to make a fun journey to that goal. I have had various private students since 2006, teaching students in many topics including, saxophone, clarinet, jazz theory, composition, improvisation, and jazz piano. From summer of 2013 to spring of 2018 I taught private saxophone and clarinet lessons for Shrewsbury Public Schools, while taking private piano, clarinet, and theory students from the Music Teachers Network referral until 2017. In addition to privately-acquired students, I also served as an interim saxophone instructor for the Prodigy Program at Westwood Public Schools. Read More

I have been my musical journey on clarinet in the second grade, and I have stuck with it ever since! I then picked up tenor saxophone to play in the jazz big band, and I began my piano journey at the end of high school to diversify my musical knowledge! I have gained a lot of experience playing in the professional music world through playing at Westfield State! From playing in WSU's symphony, to creating my own chamber ensemble, to playing in the jazz big band, to playing in a pit orchestra and even dabbling in chorus and chamber choir, I like to be as musically versatile and explorative as I can! My passion for teaching began in my Junior year of high school in 2011-2012, when I spent 6 months teaching guitar lessons to elementary school students at a local YMCA after-school program. With a class size of approximately 10-15 students, I learned many valuable teaching methods for students of all backgrounds and learning methods. Later that year, I said goodbye to my students to move to Boston and attend Berklee College of Music, however, in summer of 2014, I revived my passion for teaching when I started a saxophone lesson program at Brighton's All 'Bout Christ church. My main objective is to steer the pupil towards a place of autonomy so they are able to solve music related problems on their own and develop the intrinsic ability already present within themselves. It is important to be able to read music, notes and rhythms etc., due to the innumberable and undeniable advantages to being musically literate (this of course extends to, depending on the level of the student, music history and theory as well).
