Music is a big part of everything that I do. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1992. I have performed in ensembles, for weddings and special events, and provided accompaniment services to other musicians. I have been teaching clarinet since 2013. I love teaching all ages, including adults! Music making is a lifelong joy. My K-12 students in the past have been accepted to performing arts high schools, college music programs, All-State bands, All-County bands, youth orchestras, and earned superior ratings at Solo & Ensemble festivals. I grew up taking private clarinet lessons in the Seminole county area, all the way through high school before I studied under Dr. Lynn Musco and Mrs. Jessica Speak at Stetson University. While pursuing my studies, I took various pedagogical classes such as Woodwind methods, and Pedagogy for Musicians, both of which I received A+'s in for my final grade. While I have recommend materials to varying levels of students, every lesson approach is different. With all my students, I believe keeping them engaged and excited at what they are doing is most important.
