I have recently moved to the beautiful state of Florida, and love it here! New Mexico was my home prior to moving here. I have performed in many ensembles, and do solo recitals annually. My performance experience includes Symphony Orchestras, Pit Orchestras, Wind Ensembles, Chamber Music, Polka Band, Latin Band, Big Band, and I have been a guest soloist on several occasions. I am a graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Performing Arts where I studied Music Education. I also have a diploma in Piano Performance and Teaching from the Royal College of Music. I have been an instrumental instructor for the past 25 years, and enjoy sharing the joys of music with learners. I believe that learning to play an instrument should be an enjoyable experience. Many of my students received Superior ratings for their solos or ensembles, were selected for All-State / All-county bands in their counties, and have been selected as members of their county youth orchestra. I have also served as a public school music educator in Florida for 15 years at both the middle and high school level. The best thing about teaching is, by far, seeing the improvement and motivation within your student. I have found through my past experiences, that when my teacher is truly dedicated to their craft, and wants their student to succeed, the more successful both parties are.
